Tomás Mac Con Iomaire founded katcom in 2007 as a production studio.

He has spent the major part of his life within the broadcasting industry having spent thirty years with RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta. While with Raidió na Gaeltachta he served in the following positions:

• Eagarthóir Stiúrtha Nuachta (Managing Editor, News)
• Eagarthóir Stiúrtha Cláracha (Managing Editor, Programmes)
• Leascheannaire (Assistant Director)
• Ceannaire (Director)

Tomás Mac Con Iomaire has extensive experience in the field of education and training. He has lectured in Acadamh na hOllscollaíochta Gaeilge, NUIG and GMIT.  He has organised and directed journalism and broadcasting courses and some of his ex students are employed in major broadcasting services nationally.

Productions by katcom have been transmitted on RTÉ  Raidió na Gaeltachta, RTÉ Radio 1, Galway Bay FM, Clare FM, Radio Kerry, Raidió na Life, Flirt FM, Connemara Community Radio, Community Radio Castlebar.

We also provide a recording, production and post production service to the television and film industry.

We work with a number of independent production services.
